Long-Staple Cotton vs. Brushed Cotton
Long-Staple Cotton:
Many people confuse long-staple cotton with brushed cotton, but these two materials are different in both composition and texture. Long-staple cotton is derived from longer, finer cotton fibers, making it stronger, smoother, and more durable. With a higher thread count, long-staple cotton offers a thinner, silkier fabric that feels luxuriously soft against the skin.
Brushed Cotton:
Brushed cotton, on the other hand, refers to a special technique where the cotton fabric is brushed to create a soft, velvety texture. This process can be applied to various types of cotton, including long-staple cotton, enhancing its softness and comfort.
While some may believe that thinner fabrics like long-staple cotton are of lower quality, the opposite is true. The finer fibers make the fabric more resilient and stronger than thicker cotton, ensuring lasting durability while providing a premium, comfortable sleep experience.
Care and Washing Instructions
- Wash separately, keeping light and dark colors apart.
- Avoid using bleach or harsh disinfectants.
- Do not wash with hot water; keep the water temperature below 30°C.
- Limit soaking time to no more than 10 minutes.
- Dilute detergent with water before adding it to the wash; never pour directly onto the fabric.
- After washing, cotton fabrics may wrinkle. To minimize wrinkles, smooth out the fabric before hanging it to dry.

Materials + Care
Our sofas are upholstered in high-quality, durable fabrics designed for everyday comfort and long-lasting style. To maintain their appearance, we recommend vacuuming regularly with a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris. Spills should be blotted immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For tougher spots, a mild detergent mixed with water can be used, but always test on a hidden area first. Harsh chemicals and bleach should be avoided. To keep cushions looking their best, rotate and fluff them regularly to ensure even wear. For a deeper refresh, professional upholstery cleaning is advised as needed.
